The US Model 1860 Cavalry Sabre was used by both Union and Confederate soldiers during the American Civil War, making it a symbol of a pivotal era. Utilized extensively throughout the Civil War, it continued to serve during the American Indian Wars and into the Spanish-American War in 1898.
