Discovered in the 1950s in Yarm, this rare 10th century Viking helmet was the first of its kind and found in a most unusual area in Britian. Faithfully reproduced by GDFB, this 14 gauge, 2mm steel helmet is great for reenactment. With its front and rear plates secured by rivited vertical and lateral bands with a top knop, the helmet can take a blow but you'll want to get an arming cap! The spectacle mask features a thick nasal guard. It’s a great reproduction for not just reenactors but for students of unique historical armor.
