The Main Gauche, "Left Hand" parrying dagger was an off hand knife used during the late Middle Ages to early Renaissance. It was used in conjunction with the rapier as an effective defence which could also be used in attack if the opportunity arose. This particular model features a tough heat treated 1566 carbon steel live blade with stainless steel fittings for strength and low maintenance. The grip is timber like it's matching Wood Grip Rapier companion with a matching black leather covered scabbard.
