This is an interesting replica of the helmet from the famous Henry the VIII silvered armour, currently housed in the Tower of London. It has been part of our collection here at War Sword for many years and it is time it found a new home. The helmet is life sized and is constructed of aluminium and composite fiberglass. The helmet is beautifully etched all over with roses and is also aged to make it a faith full representation of the original. The Visor opens to reveal a plaque on the inside where is written "Crown Copyright, Tower of London". The helmet approximately stands 28cm tall, 20cm wide and 31cm from front to back. Weight is 850 grams. We have no idea of the age and have been unable to establish the origins making it a rare and unusual piece and would be a great addition to any medieval collection.
