Practical I-Beam Bastard Long Sword, 9260 Steel Blade, Re-enactment WMA HEMA

Practical I-Beam Bastard Long Sword, 9260 Steel Blade, Re-enactment WMA HEMA

$495.00 $595.00

Angus Trim developed this style of HEMA training sword (he coined it I-Beam after the profile design) a while back to solve two problems - Tapered blunts with thin edges that were quickly chewed up and thick blunts that handled like crow bars. The massive central fuller allows for more metal at the edge while keeping the sword lively in the hand.  The blade is a heat treated tough 9260 carbon steel for superior durability.  The fittings are constructed from stainless steel making them not only strong but maintenance free.  The grip is timber covered in embossed leather with a leather covered timber scabbard.
