Estimated to be from the late 17th century and of Teppo school work this is a beautiful Katana tsuba. In the aorigata style and of hammered iron with a silver Bat inlay in high relief flying over a botanical motif also of brass and silver inlay. The reverse features a small rocky outcrop with a small amount of brass and silver inlay. Large tsuba which would match many style and size katana.
