1912 Pattern British Commonwealth Cavalry Officers Sword George VI Cypher

1912 Pattern British Commonwealth Cavalry Officers Sword George VI Cypher

$380.00

The 1912 Pattern British Cavalry Officers Sword is the last of its design and was the final development of sword to be used in war times.  With a straight blade purely for the thrust its form well used for the charge from horse back.  However by the close of World War I its use on the battle field was made redundant by the use of mechanical warfare.

This particular replica features a finely etched and tempered carbon steel blade with chrome plated etched steel basket and hilt fittings.  The scabbard is leather like the originals used by Australian officers.  This particular sword is replicated on a WWII original sporting the GR VI Cypher.
