Estimated to be from the late 18th century and of Shoami school this is a beautiful Katana tsuba. In the marugata style and of hammered iron with Palownia flower and leaf cut outs. The reverse features the same design from the rear exhibiting fine craftsmanship. The mimi (edge) is in bronze to protect silk garments from oxide stains.
